Author Judith Gilman has started on the third book in this Capricorn Lady series, VOYAGE OF THE CAPRICORN LADY, Book 3 , Somewhere Beyond The Sea. Work on this project has been paused, however, as inspiration for a fantasy novel diverted her attention during the summer of 2006.

She is presently working on the first of three books in a fantasy adventure series. The first book has a working title of OHNALEE, Book 1 of The Dragon Mer Trilogy. This is not the usual story about a pretty mermaid who leaves her kingdom under the sea when she falls in love with a handsome human man. It is the riveting tale about the strange journey of Margaret Rose Lavell, an ordinary woman who lives on the wild and wondrous Oregon Coast in the early 1900s. From early childhood Margaret has been fascinated by the sea caves along the shore, and she often spends time there by herself, communicating with mysterious friends who often surf into the interior of the caverns to rest and play.

The first book is full of historical information about the Oregon Coast and explains the real origin of the entity which is reputed to haunt the lighthouse at Heceta Head. This is a tender love story, the passionate tale of a woman who leaves a traditional life behind to go with a man of a different culture. Margaret Rose Lavell learns about her true heritage when she decides to trust her heart and hand to the man who has waited patiently for his soul mate for many years.

The second book will belong to Aquenae Magena, daughter of Ohnalee and
Mokeema, a headstrong and complex girl who walks the bridge between two worlds.

The third book will be the story of Lexandra, a modern young lady with an unusual cultural heritage.

OHNALEE will be published by XLibris in the spring of 2007.
